Kilkenny Striped Wool Throws
A season to get cosy and a wonderful gift to receive.
The Cushendale 5th generation family business has been producing the highest quality Irish textiles since 1778 and their latest offering is a real testiment to that heritage.
The Kilkenny striped throw is made from the fleece of local ‘Galway’ sheep, blended with lambswool so make it wonderfully soft to the touch. Every step of the process is undertaken in the mill in Gragnamanagh in Co. Kilkenny where the raw fleece is carded, spun, dyed, designed, woven and finished.
The beautiful colours are inspired by the surrounding landscape contrasting plain undyed wool with flecks of contrasting colour, the fabric has a brushed finish and an incorporated fringe.
The striped throw is available in 2 sizes: small throw (90 x 135cm) is being perfect on an armchair or as a knee throw and the large measuring 135cm x 180cm is a generous size suitable for a bed or sofa.

About Cushendale Woolen Mills
Cushendale Woollen Mills is one of only three remaining Irish woollen mills creating quality authentic textiles from the fleece of Irish sheep.
The provenance of their Irish wool fabrics is wholly unique to a single line which can be traced from fleece to bespoke design products.
This 5th generation Irish business uses time honoured skills at every step ensures their craft is of the highest quality.
They recommend professional dry cleaning for all their products, all of which are made from natural fibres. Spot cleaning with cold water and mild detergent suds is possible if carried out by dabbing the fabric i.e. not rubbing the fabric.
