This Loyal Companion and Astronaut Lottie Doll Kit is inspired by a real life human boy with autism named Hayden. The story of how this came about all begins on 15th December 2015 when Hayden and his mum Caroline were sitting down to watch astronaut Tim Peake preparing to blast off on a very important mission to the International Space Station. As millions of people watched, the countdown began '10...9...8...', and then something very unexpected happened, to Caroline's surprise, Hayden joined in the countdown. You see, up to this point Hayden had been non-verbal, and this historic moment ignited a spark, as he went on to learn to speak full sentences and has become obsessed with all things space!
This Finn doll from the Lottie series has a companion dog called Cookie who is his best friend. He is happiest when places are quiet, so he always brings his headphones to keep out loud noises. His favourite blue t-shirt has the names of three of his heros with autism written on it 'Tesla, Einstein & Me!'.
