Private Tours
An award-winning, family-run destination beside Ireland’s most visited natural attraction, the Cliffs of Moher.
Coffee voted Best in Ireland | Family Business of the Year 2025 | Handmade Fudge | Irish Design & Gifts
Set on our family farm in what was once our old cowshed and pigsty, Moher Cottage offers something rare: a chance to slow down, breathe in the Atlantic air, and experience the raw, natural beauty of County Clare exactly as it is.
From our terrace overlooking Liscannor Bay, you can sip coffee that’s been voted the best in Ireland, taste our handmade fudge made on the premises, and discover Irish-made gifts you won’t find anywhere else. But what visitors tell us they remember most is the welcome—the genuine chat, the local knowledge, the sense that you’ve found something authentic in a world that often isn’t.
We’re a small family business with a big dream: to be the best little shop in Ireland. We’re honored to have been recognized by the Irish Independent as one of Ireland’s Best Welcomes, and we look forward to welcoming you.
Open March 10 – October 31

We’re located in one of the most beautiful, scenic spots in Ireland, with breath-taking views across Liscannor Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. But beyond the location, it’s the care we put into everything we do. We bake in-house. We make our own fudge. We choose every gift in our shop because we believe it represents the best of Irish craft and design. And we take the time to have a real conversation, to share local knowledge, to make you feel like you’ve experienced something genuine.
We were proud to be named Family Business of the Year in 2025, and we were honored when the Irish Independent recognized us as one of Ireland’s Best Welcomes. But what matters most to us is knowing that people leave Moher Cottage with a memory of the real Ireland—the landscape, the people, the warmth.
Customer Testimonials
“A Must-Stop Gem Beside the Cliffs of Moher! Moher Cottage is an absolute delight. The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly made — easily one of the best I’ve had in Ireland. The blueberry muffin was fresh and bursting with flavor. And the homemade fudge? Simply incredible. The shop itself is full of charm and lovely gift items, and the staff were warm and welcoming.”
Geoff Hassett, Ireland
Beautiful cottage overlooking the coastal line. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee and treats outside. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. We ordered chia tea and fudge which was delightful. It was a nice stop along the way to the Cliffs.
David Plasmeijer, The Netherlands
“We stopped here on our first trip to Ireland and it was definitely our favorite stop of the whole trip! Incredibly warm and welcoming staff, great coffee, and a fabulous selection of local goods to take home. An absolute must on your list of stops when in Ireland.”
Kasey McClymonds, United States
“Perfect place for a pit stop while touring West Clare and the Cliffs of Moher. Don’t bother with the crowded cafes on the Cliffs of Moher, make the 3 minute drive down the road to Moher Cottage. Plenty of parking space and the Best coffee in Ireland in our opinion with the most amazing views out towards the Atlantic.”
Steve H, United Kingdom
“We visit Moher Cottage regularly when staying in Liscannor over the spring and summer months. There are many coffee shops in the region, however this is our number 1 spot due to the wonderful staff and fantastic coffee. Caitriona, Trish, Marie, Sarah and Leanne are all so lovely and warm hearted.”
Dave and Fiona Gilbourne, Ireland
“Great coffee with a million dollar view. Visited twice during my few days in Lahinch. Perched upon the heights near Liscannor, adjacent to a memorial to Ireland’s Father of Tourism Cornelius O’Brien. Caitriona, who runs Moher Cottage, is blazing a trail by actively preserving the heritage of the place. Loved the scones!”
David Lohan, Ireland
“We visited Moher Cottage on the advice of friends from the area. Lovely staff, met the owner who spent some time talking with us. There was ample parking and a panoramic view of Liscannor Bay. Beautiful. The toilets were very clean. Toasties were delish.”
Grahame Rumsby, Canada
“Great cup of coffee, superior photographs by the friendly proprietor, good gift selection featuring local artisans AND a stupendous view! Handy to Cliffs of Moher.”
Joan Crisman, United States
“I love everything about this charming little shop and cafe. The coffee, tea, fudge, lemon drizzle cake are all divine and that beautiful view over Liscannor Bay. They stock a lovely selection of art and gifts in the shop too. It is so nice to find somewhere a little bit different and away from the madding crowd.”
