Join us for a slower, more hands-on experience beyond the cliffs, beginning with a guided visit to St. Brigid’s Well and the Cornelius O’Brien monument, followed by a traditional St. Brigid’s Cross workshop and a chance to enjoy Moher Cottage’s award winning coffee and our fudge made instore by Kevin.
Meet the locals and hear their stories
What To Expect
This experience builds on our Heritage Walk, offering more time to linger and the chance to take part in a traditional Irish craft.
You’ll begin with a gentle, guided walk to St. Brigid’s Well, hearing stories of its local and spiritual significance, before continuing to the Cornelius O’Brien monument on our land and learning about the man who first welcomed visitors to the Cliffs of Moher.
From there, you’ll settle into a hands-on St. Brigid’s Cross workshop, using natural rushes and traditional methods. No experience is needed — you’ll be guided step by step, and you’ll take your handmade cross home with you as a meaningful memento of your time here.
The experience concludes at Moher Cottage, where you’ll enjoy our handmade fudge with coffee in our 1800s cottage, with time to relax and browse our artisan gift shop.
This experience is ideal for visitors who enjoy making, listening, and meeting the locals living here at the Cliffs of Moher.

Customer Testimonials
“A Must-Stop Gem Beside the Cliffs of Moher! Moher Cottage is an absolute delight. The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly made — easily one of the best I’ve had in Ireland. The blueberry muffin was fresh and bursting with flavor. And the homemade fudge? Simply incredible. The shop itself is full of charm and lovely gift items, and the staff were warm and welcoming.”
Geoff Hassett, Ireland
Beautiful cottage overlooking the coastal line. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee and treats outside. Friendly staff and excellent customer service. We ordered chia tea and fudge which was delightful. It was a nice stop along the way to the Cliffs.
David Plasmeijer, The Netherlands
“We stopped here on our first trip to Ireland and it was definitely our favorite stop of the whole trip! Incredibly warm and welcoming staff, great coffee, and a fabulous selection of local goods to take home. An absolute must on your list of stops when in Ireland.”
Kasey McClymonds, United States
“Perfect place for a pit stop while touring West Clare and the Cliffs of Moher. Don’t bother with the crowded cafes on the Cliffs of Moher, make the 3 minute drive down the road to Moher Cottage. Plenty of parking space and the Best coffee in Ireland in our opinion with the most amazing views out towards the Atlantic.”
Steve H, United Kingdom
“We visit Moher Cottage regularly when staying in Liscannor over the spring and summer months. There are many coffee shops in the region, however this is our number 1 spot due to the wonderful staff and fantastic coffee. Caitriona, Trish, Marie, Sarah and Leanne are all so lovely and warm hearted.”
Dave and Fiona Gilbourne, Ireland
“Great coffee with a million dollar view. Visited twice during my few days in Lahinch. Perched upon the heights near Liscannor, adjacent to a memorial to Ireland’s Father of Tourism Cornelius O’Brien. Caitriona, who runs Moher Cottage, is blazing a trail by actively preserving the heritage of the place. Loved the scones!”
David Lohan, Ireland
“We visited Moher Cottage on the advice of friends from the area. Lovely staff, met the owner who spent some time talking with us. There was ample parking and a panoramic view of Liscannor Bay. Beautiful. The toilets were very clean. Toasties were delish.”
Grahame Rumsby, Canada
“Great cup of coffee, superior photographs by the friendly proprietor, good gift selection featuring local artisans AND a stupendous view! Handy to Cliffs of Moher.”
Joan Crisman, United States
“I love everything about this charming little shop and cafe. The coffee, tea, fudge, lemon drizzle cake are all divine and that beautiful view over Liscannor Bay. They stock a lovely selection of art and gifts in the shop too. It is so nice to find somewhere a little bit different and away from the madding crowd.”
